Once again, I’m home alone, and with all the spare time I have talking to myself, I start writing about all the weird thoughts bouncing around in my head. Most of this winds up on the Journal I started on this site, but unlike the blog posts, these entries don’t wind up in anyone’s mail inbox. Protecting the innocent. But once in a while, I get the urge to share it – not because I want to depress anyone, but I just thought the topic was interesting.
In this case, I received a notification from WordPress that a complete stranger has subscribed to my blog. It happens once in a while – someone obviously made a typo in a Google search, and wound up on my blog. At any rate, this person also has his own blog about traveling, hiking and a variety of other topics. And he is a much better Web designer than me – it does not take much. One post grabbed my attention – his thoughts on losing your life’s accumulations of possessions. I had recently wrote about that same topic in the journal, and I was inspired enough to write a few more thoughts on my experience with downsizing – the slow process of clearing out 48 years worth of stuff. It’s not depressing. If you are interested, here’s the link. Or just wait until my next travel post.
