It’s Tuesday night, I’m leaving for Iceland in a few days, and I’m packed. Woo hoo!! Completely done, cameras, clothing, boots, meds….everything I need for 12 days of doing all kinds of stuff. Both bags are well under the weight limitations. All I have left to pack is my iPad.  As the heading in Icelandic says, “I’m ready to go”. (At least I think it says that. I’m not planning to try and speak that language while I’m there – too risky).

I vow, until I leave, to:

    • Stay away from REI – I DO NOT need any more clothing, boots or hiking related odds & ends.
    • Stay away from Mike’s Camera – I do not need any more camera gear (until next year…maybe).
    • No more Amazon orders – I don’t need anything.
    • Stay away from Best Buy – no more electronics, batteries or cords.
    • No more photography (other than my phone). All the batteries for the Sony and GoPro are packed.
    • No more re-packing the duffel or camera bag – there is nothing else I need to take along, and nothing to remove. Done.

I’ve been checking the weather forecast for Reykjavik and other parts of Iceland I’ll be touring through. No surprise – off and on rain. I’m prepared for it. It will be an adventure, rain or shine.

    Peace
