In Search of the Good Life

Hah! Fooled you! You probably thought this was a real post about some strange trip I’ve been on to photograph wild turkeys. Nope. This is not a real post (and the photo was in front of my house) – it’s just a link to an entry in my journal page. As I’ve mentioned in a few places in this Website, I created a journal where I can enter all my profound and expletive-free thoughts on grief, and my struggles to figure out what the f.., sorry, heck I’m going to do with the rest of my life.

Since nobody has figured out how to navigate to the journal page, or is not interested and I can certainly understand that, I thought I’d just provide a link when I write something so incredibly thought provoking that it’s worth enticing my one or two subscribers to look at it. OK, enough snarkiness. The link is below – click if I have piqued your interest. Or not.

Rich – keep it up, your posts are very thought provoking….and I do love those wild turkeys – wow, right in front of your house? Must not be very many dog walkers out and about in your neighborhood or those turkeys probably would have moved on.

The turkey flocks just cross the street if there are people with dogs in the way. I’ve walked right through flocks – they are pretty much used to people and dogs on leashes. One flock uses a house on my street as the stepping stone to get up into the trees to roost at night. And we do have turkey traffic jams sometimes when they block the one street that leads out of the village.
